Hysterosalpingography or HSG is the test which is done to confirm the patency of both the fallopian tubes in cases of infertility. A radio opaque dye is injected in the uterus through the cervix and X-rays of lower abdomen is taken to see the spillage of the dye in the peritoneal cavity.
